Good Stuff Festivals

🏭 Heb Celt Music Festival has unveiled its full line-up for 2024 with Manchester music legends James announced as headliners with rockers Del Amitri and festival favourites Skippinish for company. Other acts performing include the Elephant Sessions, Valtos, Sian, Scott C Park and friend of the podcast Willie Campbell. Tickets are on sale now, with day tickets being announced next month.

🎻 The Elephant Sessions are heading out on tour having announced a series of new gigs including shows in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Skye and Cambridge.

🍻 That, of course, doesn’t include their launching a brand new festival Black Isle Calling with the Black Isle Brewery taking place this September 13 and 14.

☀️ Peatbog Faeries, Talisk and Callum Beattie head the line-up for Bute Fest at Ettrick Bay between July 26 and 28. Others on the bill include Valtos, Colonel Mustard and the Dijon 5, The Eves and with more bands still to be announced.

💖 The Heartland Festival meanwhile have announced Idlewild, The View, Tide Lines and Nina Nesbitt for its festival line up in Pitlochry on Saturday June 29 and Sunday June 30 along with a dozen up and coming local acts.

Good Stuff Live

🎤 Tickets are selling at a rate of knots for King Creosote’s Any Port In A Storm gigs, with the sell out signs already up in places like St Andrews, Ullapool, Findhorn and others. If you haven’t yet listened to his latest release I DES then do yourself a favour.

📮 The Postal Service and Death Cab For Cutie are serving up a double header at the Glasgow Ovo Hydro on Friday, August 23. They’ll be celebrating the 20th anniversaries for their ‘Give Up’ and ‘Transatlanticism’ albums by performing both live.

🎶 Siobhan Miller is taking her band tour on the road across England in November before launching into four gigs with special guests in Scotland this December.

👅 Catch The Filthy Tongues for a special concert at Websters Theatre in Glasgow on Friday March 1 help to mark eight years of Last Night From Glasgow. Details at their facebook page.

🤝 Garage band Gaffa Tape Sandy have added Broadcast in Glasgow and Sneaky Pete’s in Edinburgh on Friday, September 20 and Saturday, September 21 as part of their Hold My Hand Tour 2024. Their debut album is released on Friday, May 31.

Good Stuff Released

🎻 Friday saw the latest release from Sean R.McLaughlin and The Wind Up Crows. The new song is called Hairband and, Sean explains, features the beautiful Indian violin playing of Ragini Shanker.

🎵 Congratulations Dylan John Thomas on releasing his debut album. Written in Glasgow and recorded in Liverpool with co-producer Rich Turvey, it has already been described by some in the industry as ‘a pure statement of intent’.

🦊 Also, look forward to new music soon from Indoor Foxes who have been teasing their fans with a series of promo posts in the build up to what comes next.
