🏭 Eilean Dorcha Festival has unveiled its most ambition line-up to date for Benbecula happening on Friday July 26 and Saturday 27 July. Among the names included are Tide Lines, Skerryvore, Manran and Cammy Barnes to name a few. Tickets available now at their website.

🐋 Live at Loch Goil have also announced the remaining acts who will be taking to the stage on Friday 4, Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 May with Beluga Lagoon, Valtos and Torridon leading the way. Tickets, including limited day passes, are on sale here.

🥁That’s followed on Saturday 25 and Sunday May 26 by the Black Isle Belter festival being launched by Peat and Diesel. They’ll be joined at Muir of Ord by The Vatersay Boys, Face The West, The View, The Feeling and more for what has been billed as a show for over 16’s. Tickets On Sale Here.

We’re overjoyed to have both The View and The Feeling come along and join us for these shows, bands that have been bringing you belters for nearly 20 years. The Highlands has been a very special place for us as a band over the last 5 years and we wanted to come back with a bang, well two bangs!”

🐘The new wave of festivals also sees Black Isle Calling taking place as a collaboration between Black Isle Brewery and Elephant Sessions on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 September, around ten minutes out of Inverness. Along with the Elephants themselves, Beluga Lagoon’s busy summer continues with more acts to be revealed. Tickets are available at this link.

🎻 The Chair, Hannah Rarity and Ryan Young are just some of the names listed for the Orkney Folk Festival happening between Thursday 23 and Sunday 26 May. Orkney ‘Friends’ tickets on sale from Saturday March 23 with General Sale beginning Wednesday March 27. It follows two record breaking years for the festival, which crowned its 40th anniversary celebrations last year by being named Event of the Year at the MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards.

🎼 Julie Fowlis joins Nordic Fiddlers Bloc, Gaelic supergroup Dàimh and many for Edinburgh Tradfest which will be taking place between Friday 3 and Monday 13 May. Their artwork makes this week’s featured image too.

🎸Keep your eyes peeled for Fresh Ayr Folk Festival which is expected to announce its line-up in the coming weeks. It is down for Friday 9 to Sunday 11 August at the the town’s Rozelle Park.
