Good Shepherd Weekly 9/22
Wednesday Evening Bible Study Returns
Wednesday Evening Bible Study returns Wednesday, September 18 at 7:00pm. We will be taking a closer look at each of the aspects of the fruit of the Spirit that Paul mentions in Galatians 5:22-23. If there were ever a time to show love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and self-control, that time would be now. The fruit of the Spirit is love... tonight we look at what it is and how we show it.
Social on October 12
On Saturday, October 12 at 2:00pm we’ll have a social gathering at church. We're getting together for a laid-back afternoon of family fun and games at Good Shepherd. Come at 2:00 pm and bring a favorite board game (or puzzle) to play. Snacks and drinks will be provided. We hope to see you there!
First EIO Class
We held our first EIO class on Tuesday. We had five in attendance and those who attended covered a wide range of proficiencies. Our teachers left the session feeling confident and optimistic. We continue to plan for additional students over the coming weeks.
Sunday 9am Bible Study
Acts: Commissioned for a Mission

In Acts 1 Jesus said to his disciples, “You will be my witnesses.” The disciples were commissioned to be something That being would inform their doing. They were commissioned for a mission. This commissioning has been given to us today. Through our study of Acts, we will see that we have been commissioned to be witnesses. We are witnesses now. We don’t cease being witnesses—we have a commission. This commission helps us carry out the task of witnessing as we share the message of the risen Jesus and his saving work.
Upcoming Sunday

Jesus has called each one of us to follow him as disciples. Yet, distractions often overshadow our spiritual focus and busyness clouds our understanding of discipleship. Over the next seven weeks, we will rediscover what it means to follow Jesus in our everyday lives. We’ll recall Christ’s mission, relearn his path, and most of all we’ll be reminded that Christ encourages and equips us to follow him as his disciples every day.
