Welcome Home Sunday was a great opportunity to celebrate the fellowship we share and to consider our own lives of discipleship as we follow Jesus. Thank you to everyone--for coming, for bringing food, for making the day great! Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
Growth Group Returns
Date and Time: Friday September 16, 2022 Fellowship begins at 6:30PM with Bible Study at 7PM.
Location: Laliberte Residence – 124 Manila Ave Woonsocket, RI
Growth Groups are designed to be a laid back and casual way of connecting with Christian friends who care about God and each other. In our growth groups we pray together and study the Scriptures together. We add in some food and fellowship and maybe even some good laughs together because we want to build up Christian friendships. Growth Groups are a fun and healthy way of growing spiritually as well as enriching our relationships with other members.
Midweek Bible Study Starts
Wednesday Evening Bible Study (on Zoom) returns this coming Wednesday at 7:00pm. Over the coming weeks we will be looking at the Lord's Prayer. This Wednesday we will specifically look at the opening address, "Our Father in heaven." The thought of God as our good and gracious Father frames the rest of the prayer. In fact when Jesus taught his disciples the Lord's Prayer he taught about the confidence that God's children can have going to him in prayer. In Christ we were buried and raised to life. In Christ all condemnation has been nailed to his cross. As a result, we have the confidence and boldness to bring all requests before our heavenly father and know that he will deal with us as a good Father deals with his child.
Congregational Meeting
An all congregation meeting will be held after service on Sunday, September 18. We will look to start the meeting at 11:45am.
LWMS Fall Rally
The Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society (LWMS) Freedom Circuit Fall Rally will be held Saturday, October 1 9am-3pm at Cross of Christ in Liverpool, NY. The Freedom Circuit is comprised of 12 congregations in CT, MA, NH, NJ, NY, and Ontario. Lutheran Women's Missionary Society is an international organization of mission-minded women. If you are interested in attending the rally please speak with Debbie Giovinazzo.

The Light in The Darkness is a Bible class on how God promised to preserve his Gospel and how he has preserved it for us today. This study not only teaches doctrine concerning God’s Word, but also covers the history of how the Old Testament and New Testament has come to us through surviving manuscripts.
Upcoming Sunday
Jesus’ mission and purpose was not to gain an earthly crown. Jesus is focused on heaven. His mission is to get us there by going to Jerusalem and making the ultimate sacrifice to pay for our sin. Jesus was focused. As we watch the focused actions of our Savior, something wonderful happens. Jesus gives focus to our lives. In this series, as Christ speaks to us through his Word, may he make us properly focused.
