September 14 Congregation Meeting

Following worship on Sunday, September 14 we will meet for a congregation meeting. We’ll meet to share updates on our Long-Range Strategic Plan, focusing on four key areas: Evangelism, Discipleship, Worship, and Fellowship.

You’ll hear how we plan to:

  • Equip members for personal evangelism and community outreach.

  • Strengthen discipleship through Bible study and Christian training.

  • Enrich our worship life through music and meaningful liturgy.

  • Deepen fellowship with intentional care and connection.

This is a time to celebrate what God is doing, understand the path ahead, and see how you fit into His work.

Ladies Trip to NYC & LWMS Conference

Ladies trip to NYC!! Join us on Saturday October 18th. We will carpool and head to Queens, NY where we will attend the LWMS Conference. It’s a really neat church in NYC so come check it out and listen to a great speaker! After the conference we will head over to Manhattan. Courtney Giovinazzo is a bar tender at a unique place called Pocket Bar. The owner of the Pocket Bar is giving us 10% of everything and donating that 10% to the church! It’ll be a fun day in the Big Apple!! Reach out to Jessica Kegler or Sarah Goetzinger for car pooling details!

Save the Date: Nov 8 - Everyone Outreach

Good Shepherd is participating in a program called Everyone Outreach. The program will help us build a culture of outreach so that every ministry and every member is encouraged and equipped to reach the lost in our community. Everyone Outreach kicks off with an interactive 1-day workshop on Saturday, November 8.

  • Each participant will leave the workshop with sustainable ways to personally help build our congregation’s outreach culture.

  • Sign-up for the workshop on the bulletin board next to the kitchen or by following the link here.

  • Questions? Visit EveryoneOutreach.com or contact Pastor Goetzinger.

  • We encourage every member of our congregation to attend the workshop and participate. Our goal is to have 20 of our members in attendance. In fact, the more members that attend, the more likely it is that we will meet our long range strategic goals.

Upcoming Sunday

What does it really mean to follow Jesus? Not just to admire him as an example. Not just to fit him into our already full lives. But to follow after him and for his life and teaching to mold us and move us. In this five-week series, we’ll explore what it means to go “all in” with Christ. Through provoking parables and thoughtful teaching, we’ll see how Jesus invites us into a life of full devotion. The call is a high one, all in, but he does it to draw us closer to himself.

Sunday AM Bible Study

What does it mean to live truthfully in a world filled with deception, distraction, and distortion? In his letter to Titus, the Apostle Paul explains that the knowledge of God’s truth always leads to godliness—that what we believe is inseparable from how we live. This Bible study we will walk through the book of Titus to explore how truth shapes every part of life: resisting deception in a permissive culture, practicing self-control and reverence in our homes and congregations, and showing gentleness and goodness in public life. God’s grace in Christ has appeared, saving us and training us for lives that reflect his truth. Join us as we discover how “truth leads to godliness” for Christians today.
