Seeking Singers
We will be forming a festival choir for our 50th anniversary service on September 10. Please consider joining for this special event! Rehearsals will be held after church on Sunday, August 20 and Sunday, August 27. It's a familiar tune, so it should be quick to learn. Hope to see you at rehearsal!

The website also has more information. We look forward to a fun afternoon together!
A Vision for Good Shepherd
Our worship will communicate dignity, grace, and such a deep sense of the holy that visitors to our services will conclude that God is really among us. In our worship service God serves us with his life-giving gospel and we respond with our prayer and praise. Our pastor will deliver sermons which remind us that law and gospel are of primary importance to our lives, our faith, and our salvation.
5 Year Goals:
Appoint a worship coordinator to help with scheduling of choir and planning of services.
Develop a more regular schedule for our choir that is based upon the festival and non-festival portions of the year.
Introduce new hymns and psalms with soloists and duets.
Introduce the sung propers and ordinaries in each of the liturgies.
Utilize the variety of our members' talents.
50th Anniversary Celebration
Mark your calendar for Sunday, September 10 at 4:00pm. Good Shepherd will have a special worship service to celebrate 50 years of God's grace. Good Shepherd's founding pastor, Rev. David Scherbarth, will be preaching. Following the service, we will have a meal outdoors. The meal will feature a pig-roast and seating will be under a tent.
Sunday Morning Bible Study
What God teaches regarding men and women has been controversial since the fall into sin. But now Christians face new challenges. Gender is a hot-button issue. Hierarchical relations in the home, the church, and workplace can be tools of abuse. Christians need clarity on what God teaches about men and women as well as their God-given roles. In this study we will learn what the Bible says about gender, how men and women are to serve together in the home and the church, and how we can show the beauty of these teachings in our roles today.
Upcoming Sunday
Take any church and there is going to be a varying cross section of people, backgrounds, ideas, and opinions. So why would all of these people with all of their differences gather together? Because they have been united together by God. All of us have the same problem of sin. All of us have the same Savior. All of us who call on the Lord are being built into his Church.
