Member Move--Items for Sale

Member Matt Krause is moving from his home into his apartment. For this reason, he needs to quickly get rid of some items. He is selling a 21" Ariens snowblower, an Amana front-loading washer, and a gas dryer. All items would need to be picked up in Quincy. Here are the links:

  • Snowblower: https://boston.craigslist.org/sob/for/d/quincy-ariens-single-stage-21-inch-path/7501289869.html

  • Washer: https://boston.craigslist.org/sob/hsh/d/quincy-amana-front-loader-washing/7501264406.html

  • Dryer: https://boston.craigslist.org/sob/hsh/d/quincy-hotpoint-speed-gas-dryer-for-sale/7501278834.html

He is also giving away a set of right handed golf clubs as well as a round oak table top (does not have legs). He is just asking that if someone takes them a donation be made to the church.

Summer Reading? Check out Galatians.

Martin Luther said of the in the introduction to his Commentary on Galatians, "In my heart reigns this one article, faith in my dear Lord Christ, the beginning, middle and end of whatever spiritual and divine thoughts I may have, whether by day or by night." For Christians the gospel is everything. It is the heartbeat of our spiritual lives. In short the gospel is "Christ for us"--Christ's life lived perfectly in our place, his life given innocently, and his resurrection from the dead. It is simple, but it is easy to get wrong. Or maybe better put: it's hard to get right. Along with your summer reading download this self study on the Book of Galatians so that you too live a Gospel life. Download here.

Sunday Morning Bible Study

Liturgy Title WEB.jpg

Sundays 9:00am In-Person

Every Sunday we follow the same rubric... invocation, confession and absolution, hymn, sermon, blessing, etc... Sometimes it can seem like tradition for tradition's sake, rather than providing an obvious benefit for the people of today. Confessing sin can seem stodgy. The songs can seem old. But far from being a relic of the past this form of worship provides us what is essential for faith and life. It unites us with one another, offers encouragement to all us, and shows us that God is at work even today.

This Sunday

Unconventional Savior WEB.jpg

As Jesus teaches truth, he often challenges conventional wisdom. He reverses the normal and natural order of things. What he has to say may upset and even offend us. This should not surprise us, considering this Teacher’s life and work are the opposite of what one would expect. When the truth is unconventional, the first temptation is to deny it. The second temptation is to simply ignore it. But, Listen and take to heart what Jesus says! For his Word, though often unconventional, gives eternal life.
