Cards for Befriend a Mission this Sunday
Help us support a home and world missionary by writing a card after service on Sunday. Cards are available and will be mailed--all you have to do is write the card. Through the Befriend a Mission program of the Lutheran Women's Missionary Society our congregation has the opportunity to provide direct support and encouragement to a home missionary and world missionary. Every two years we are assigned a new set of missionaries to support and encourage. You can learn more about our missionaries on the LWMS bulletin board in the fellowship hall.

Sunday Morning Bible Study
What God teaches regarding men and women has been controversial since the fall into sin. But now Christians face new challenges. Gender is a hot-button issue. Hierarchical relations in the home, the church, and workplace can be tools of abuse. Christians need clarity on what God teaches about men and women as well as their God-given roles. In this study we will learn what the Bible says about gender, how men and women are to serve together in the home and the church, and how we can show the beauty of these teachings in our roles today.
Wednesday Zoom Bible Study - Starts Apr. 26
Mark gets to the point in his book when he wrote in the first verse, “The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God.” That’s the last time he’ll give you his opinion of Jesus. He will show you what Jesus did. Mark includes more of Jesus’ miracles than the other gospel writers. He shows you that Jesus is on the move from Galilee to Jerusalem where he will die and rise again. He lets you watch Jesus and listen to him so that you can experience him for yourself. Mark shares these precious memories of Jesus, so that you too can be drawn into his story and share in his joy.
Upcoming Sunday
The Bible demonstrates that it is detrimental, lethal even, to live contrary to God’s will. However, obeying God’s will is an opportunity to show love for God. True love involves obedience. Jesus did not simply say he loved his heavenly Father. He proved it by obeying his Father, even when that obedience meant dying on a cross for our sake. Love for God who lives in us leads us to live for him.
