Pastor Goetzinger Received Divine Call

Dear Good Shepherd,

Some days ago was the fourth anniversary of my installation as pastor at Good Shepherd. I can hardly believe four years has gone by so quickly. Since four years has passed I am now eligible to receive divine Calls from other congregations. On Sunday evening I received a call notifying my that Faith Lutheran Church in Sussex, WI extended me a divine Call to serve as associate pastor. Now that I have received official documentation, I am able to announce this to you.

I now hold two Calls. One to Good Shepherd and one to Faith in Sussex, WI. Over the coming days and weeks I will consider where I can best use my gifts in service to our Lord’s kingdom.

I ask for your prayers. Please pray that the Lord would grant me wisdom and clarity as I consider these two Calls he has given to me. Please pray for Faith as this position has been vacant for two years. I will also pray for you—that through this process God will continue to encourage you in your faith, mission, and ministry.

I welcome any personal encouragement or conversation about where you think I may serve best. You can reach me on my cell (315) 777-0134 or via email at pastor@goodshepherdattleboro.com.

In Christ,

Pastor Aaron Goetzinger

Upcoming Sunday

Christ’s victory over sin and death creates a new kind of people—marked not by power or pride, but by love. When Peter learned that the Gospel was for all nations, he also learned that God’s love knows no boundaries (Acts 11:1–18). Paul reminds us that love is the greatest gift of all—a sign of a Spirit-filled life (1 Corinthians 13:1–13). And Jesus, glorified by the Father, calls his disciples to reflect his glory by loving one another (John 13:31–35). In Christ, we are victors—and that victory shines brightly as his love is shown through us.
