Good Shepherd Weekly 4/3
LWMS Spring Hearts in Motion Conference
The Spring Hearts in Motion Conference will be held at King of Kings Lutheran Church in Clifton Park, NY on Saturday, April 6 9am-3pm. Presenters will present on work in Haiti. If you have any question please speak with Debbie Giovinazzo.
Work in Pawtucket and English Improvement Classes
You may remember that Pastor Tim Flunker visited to investigate the feasibility of outreach to our Spanish speaking neighbors. He recommended that we begin by offering English Improvement Opportunities. If you have interested in our work centering in Pawtucket or in helping with English Improvement Opportunities please consider attending an awareness session lead by Pastor Flunker. We are working on scheduling him to come back. In the immediate future he can come back on Saturday, April 27 or Saturday, May 4. Plan on an all day session. Lunch will be provided. Please sign up on the sheet posted on the bulletin board and mark the date you are able to attend. We would like to hold the session so that the maximum amount of people can attend.
Crawl to the Cross
On Sunday, April 28 after service we will hold our third Spring Crawl to the Cross Fellowship event, an opportunity for you to try out different RC trucks on various terrains while spending time with your friends.
Foundations

Foundations is an introduction to Biblical and confessional Lutheran theology. That might sound overwhelming but it's not. In each class we will answer one core question of life and then we will see how the Bible answers that question. If you have been a Christian for while, this is a class for you. If you want to know what our church teaches, this is the class for you. Because in this class you will be given the solid foundation of Jesus' teaching.
Upcoming Sunday

The Apostle John once wrote, “The life appeared, we have seen it and testify to it.” Notice that he says THE life. There is one true life. The life isn’t just the good life or the best life. The life isn't only a way of life, though it certainly gives a way of life. The life that appeared is Jesus Christ who was raised from the dead. He appeared to change everything. He appeared to silence death. He appeared to give you eternal life, true life, and a life that finds strength in him. Yes, THE life appeared and he even gives you a new way of life.
