2024 Council Position Update

Erroneously the nominating committee failed to send out any Call Letters for the position of Secretary/Financial Coordinator. This happened accidentally as Tom Otto has previously told the Council that he was willing to run for his second term (as the current term in which he presides ends this year). Any and all eligible male members who would like to also be considered during the Nov 19th Congregational Meeting should notify Mark Williams. The position details are listed below.

He shall be responsible for the legal records of the congregation.  He shall have the authority to countersign all deeds, mortgages, notes, leases and/or legal documents executed on behalf of the congregation and assist in the orderly conduct of its business affairs according to establish good order. He shall make a report of the financial condition of the congregation to each council meeting and special reports as requested by the council. He shall also perform such other duties as may be assigned to him by the church council and    may appoint individuals or committees with the approval of the council to assist him in these and his other responsibilities.

Wednesday Evening Bible Study

We will continue or study of Mark tonight Wednesday, October 11 at 7:00pm. Mark gets to the point in his book when he wrote in the first verse, “The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God.” That’s the last time he’ll give you his opinion of Jesus. He will show you what Jesus did. Mark includes more of Jesus’ miracles than the other gospel writers. He shows you that Jesus is on the move from Galilee to Jerusalem where he will die and rise again. He lets you watch Jesus and listen to him so that you can experience him for yourself. Mark shares these precious memories of Jesus, so that you too can be drawn into his story and share in his joy.

Sunday Morning Bible Study

The beginning of something is important. That is especially true when it comes to the Bible. Genesis is foundational to the whole Bible, and to every human life. Genesis tells us who God is, who we are, how things went wrong, and the plan that God has put in place to return the earth to the way it was meant to be.

Upcoming Sunday

In our worship service God serves us with his life-giving gospel and we respond with our prayer and praise. In worship we receive reminders that law and gospel are of primary importance to our faith and life. The worship service is a place where God’s people gather to receive God’s blessing, to sing his praise by repeating his promises, and to encourage one another with God’s Word.
