Good Shepherd Weekly 11/8
Growth Group This Friday
This Friday, November 12 at 6:30om we will hold our first Growth Group at the Kegler home (more details below). Growth Group is a gathering which provides time for fellowship, Bible study, and mutual encouragement. Growth Group will be hosted at members homes and anyone can attend. The Bible Study will be based on the Sermon text for the week (This week was Mark 12:38-44). We hope this will be a place where people can bring their joys, sorrows, and Biblical reflection. It's our prayer that these gatherings will be environments in which the Holy Spirit will be at working building Christian relationships marked by love, selflessness, thanks, as well as devotion to Christ and to one another.
If you missed Sunday service, you can still come! The Sermon will be recapped before we start our discussion or you can view the sermon here.
Date and Time: Friday, November 12 Fellowship begins at 6:30PM with Bible Study at 7PM.

On paper, the early Christian church shouldn't have made it. The proclaimed a message that was foolish to the prevailing thoughts of their day and age. Being a Christian was not only a social negative, but they faced outright persecution. Yet through the Apostles and through these local congregations God was at work growing his church from Jerusalem to Judea to the ends of the earth... just as he is today.

The entire Bible points to Jesus. Of course, the New Testament clearly points back to him. But through prophecy, through patterns, and even through the sacrificial system itself even the Old Testament points ahead to him. In this Bible you will gain a deeper appreciation for the Old Testament as you hear it teach you about Jesus in its own unique way.
