Chili Cookoff February 4
Join us on Sunday, February 4, for our annual Chili Cook Off and Chocolate Chip Cookie Bake Off! Sign up to participate in either or both categories, or just come and enjoy the entries and cast your vote.
We will also be holding a raffle that morning. Purchase raffle tickets for $1 each for a chance to win a prize! All proceeds will be going to support the mission of One Latin America Team in Quito, Ecuador. Stay tuned for more information on this important mission work. Hope to see you there!
Musical Talents
As part of our 5-Year Strategic Plan, one of our goals is to utilize the variety of our member's musical talents in worship. If you have interest in contributing to our services as a soloist, part of a duet or quartet, or through playing an instrument, please contact Katie Otto.
Mauer Family Update
In His wisdom and love, God chose to call Matthew Maurer, the newborn grandson of Chip and Steph Maurer, home to heaven this past Christmas Eve. The Maurer family were long time members at Good Shepherd. Jessie Maurer, daughter-in-law of Chip and Steph, went into labor on Sunday morning. Jesus called Matthew home during the labor and delivery. This is an incredibly difficult loss for the Maurer family. Please keep Chip and Steph, their son and daughter-in-law, Nate and Jessie Maurer, in your prayers. If you would like to send condolences here is Nate and Jessie’s address:

Foundations
Foundations is an introduction to Biblical and confessional Lutheran theology. That might sound overwhelming but it's not. In each class we will answer one core question of life and then we will see how the Bible answers that question. If you have been a Christian for while, this is a class for you. If you want to know what our church teaches, this is the class for you. Because in this class you will be given the solid foundation of Jesus' teaching.
Upcoming Sunday
God knows everying. He sees all and knows everything…even our deepest thoughts. Though he knows everything about us, even the things we wish we could hide from him, he calls us to follow his Son. He wants us to be with him, and to see the greatness of his sacrifice and forgiveness. Not only does God call us he enables us to answer that call
