Pie Raffle for Denver Mission

Good Shepherd will be holding a pie raffle after church on Sunday, November 19. Purchase tickets for a chance to win one of Debbie Giovinazzo’s famous pies just in time for Thanksgiving! Proceeds from the raffle will be sent to Christ Lutheran Church, a WELS mission in Denver, CO. We will hear more about the mission on Sunday, November 12.

Our goal is to raise $300. If we meet our goal, not only will we be supporting the spread of the gospel in Denver, but we’ll be giving Nick Giovinazzo a chance to throw a pie in Pastor’s face! Plan to stay after church on November 19 and donate to this fun and worthy cause!

Friendsgiving

Mark your calendars for an afternoon of Thanksgiving fellowship! Pastor G and Sarah will be hosting a Friendsgiving celebration at the parsonage (136 Juniper Ave. Attleboro, MA) on Saturday, November 18 starting at 1pm. This get together will be an open house until 7pm. Snacks, food, and beverages will be provided. In order to plan better, if you plan on coming please RSVP to Pastor (pastor@goodshepherdattleboro.com) or Sarah.

Wednesday Evening Bible Study

We will continue or study of Mark tonight Wednesday, October 11 at 7:00pm. Mark gets to the point in his book when he wrote in the first verse, “The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God.” That’s the last time he’ll give you his opinion of Jesus. He will show you what Jesus did. Mark includes more of Jesus’ miracles than the other gospel writers. He shows you that Jesus is on the move from Galilee to Jerusalem where he will die and rise again. He lets you watch Jesus and listen to him so that you can experience him for yourself. Mark shares these precious memories of Jesus, so that you too can be drawn into his story and share in his joy.

Sunday Morning Bible Study

The beginning of something is important. That is especially true when it comes to the Bible. Genesis is foundational to the whole Bible, and to every human life. Genesis tells us who God is, who we are, how things went wrong, and the plan that God has put in place to return the earth to the way it was meant to be.

Upcoming Sunday

We are recipients of the good news of God’s salvation and the stakes couldn’t have been higher—this news speaks directly to the predicament of sin and the death it brings. Now we share the good news of God’s salvation, even as it overflows in our lives. We share the good news seeking opportunities to share what the Lord has done.
