Good Shepherd Weekly 10/24
Save the Date: Nov 8 - Everyone Outreach
Everyone Outreach kicks off with an interactive 1-day workshop on Saturday, November 8. The workshop lasts from 9am-3pm. Breakfast and Lunch will be provided.
This workshop will help us build a culture of outreach in our congregation. Each participant will leave the workshop with sustainable ways to personally help build our congregation’s outreach culture.
Sign-up for the workshop on the bulletin board next to the kitchen or by following the link here.
Questions? Visit EveryoneOutreach.com or contact Pastor Goetzinger.
We encourage every member of our congregation to attend the workshop and participate. Our goal is to have 20 of our members in attendance. In fact, the more members that attend, the more likely it is that we will meet our long range strategic goals.

Upcoming Sunday

Many think freedom means being able to do whatever you want. Jesus says otherwise. “If you hold to my teaching… you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” The freedom to chase every desire only leads to slavery—slavery to sin, guilt, and self. In fact, if you take that attitude toward life you will end up a slave. You will only be free— spiritually, emotionally, eternally—“If you hold to my teaching.” Does holding to Jesus’ limit our freedom? God’s truth brings freedom from slavery to sinful delusions and the burden of guilt. This week we celebrate this cause and effect—the truth sets us free!
Sunday AM Bible Study

From beginning to end Scripture describes how God rules over his creation. God’s rule—in power, in grace, and someday in glory—is called his kingdom. The kingdom of God is one of the most beautiful truths of Scripture and nearly every chapter in the Bible teaches something about it. To understand God’s kingdom is to understand why God sent his Son and to understand the great hope Christian’s have. This course will address the following: What Is the Kingdom?, The Kingdom Revealed by God's Prophets, The Kingdom In the Works and Words of Jesus, The Kingdom In Jesus' Parables, Confronting Fallen Mankind, In the Ministry of His Apostles, Encountering Satan's Hostility, and Anticipating What's Ahead, Concentrating on Now.
