Your one week reminder that the LeRoy King Carousel will be operating for free again on Thursday March 12th from 10am to 6pm!

As before, the carousel is free for everyone to ride. No need for a badge, all ages, and accessible to everyone.

This is my third year of bringing whimsy to GDC and I can’t wait to ride with all of you again. We all sure could use a little shared joy…

Music Suggestions

Still taking music playlist suggestions! This year I hope to have a customized playlist of music to play. The theme is vaguely “video game music to ride a carousel on” and I welcome interpretations on that theme.

If you have a publicly shareable playlist, you can also use the form to share it with me.

Game Developer Carousel Playlist 2026

The Game Developer Carousel will have a playlist this year! 🎮 🧑‍💻 🎠 Use this form to make suggestions on what songs should be included. Deadline is March 7th, 2026 so I can prepare the USB drive for review. Please be sure to follow these guidelines: Keep it "E" for Everyone. This is an all ages event in a public space. Songs will not be synced to carousel operation. The final playlist will be unattended and play regardless if the carousel is actively dispatched. Focus on ambiance, not heavy lyr...

Once the playlist is done, I’ll send out a link via this newsletter.

GDCarousel Badge Ribbons

I still have badge ribbons that Mark DeLoura provided last year. I’d like to get these in the hands of folks before Thursday as it’s one of the best pieces of marketing for the event.

If you’d like to help give out ribbons to spread the word about the carousel, reach out and we’ll figure out how to get some to you. I plan to pick up my badge on Sunday afternoon.
