Exclusive pre-sale: Behind the curtain of Lights Out
All right, luvvies? This is not your regularly scheduled newsletter - that's coming on Friday as normal. This is a special update to let you know that the rulebook for Lights Out is now available, and you can have it for half price!
Buy Lights Out (scroll down to the 'Pre-sale' section to claim your discount)
Lights Out is a roleplaying game of tragic horror, designed to be played as a performance, in front of a live audience.
It's the game that powered our live show of the same name at the London Horror Festival last year. If you missed that, or need a reminder, here's the audio of our performance:

The rulebook includes the rules of the game and guidance for rehearsing, staging and performing Lights Out as a live show - including essential advice about what your venue will want to know up front!
Pre-sale and discount just for you
As a Foggy Outline newsletter subscriber, you're finding out about this before anybody else. The page is live, but it's currently unlisted and undiscoverable. You can only find it with the links in this email. It's not even linked from my own site yet. The actual launch isn't happening until next week. But the book's all done, the page is built - I could hardly keep it from you all under those circumstances, could I?
And since I'm sharing, and since you've had mostly updates and not many thank-yous from me for a while, I'm giving you 50% off. This offer goes away next week when I launch the game publicly. It's just for you.
What you get and what's next
When you buy the game, you get it as an ebook and a printer-friendly PDF. Once it sells 30 copies at full price ($10) or higher, I'll work with a layout artist to produce a fully designed PDF, with fonts and imagery and boxouts, probably! Everyone who's already bought the game will get that as a free update, and it'll be part of the package for everyone who buys it from that point onwards.
Some might say that a roleplaying game you perform live is a bit of a niche product. I'm betting there is an audience for this sort of thing - streaming and podcasting mean that performance is a natural part of RPG culture at this point, so there must be people out there wanting to combine RPGs and live performance somehow, but needing a foundation to get things started. So if you think this is a cool thing, please spread the word once it launches so more people can see this and realise "oh, I've been looking for something like that actually!"
See you again in the regular newsletter on Friday - until then, get your copy of Lights Out and play on!
