Also, several volunteer sessions are coming up. we are working hard to make improvements to the land before the cold weather hits, and we could use your help!
CREATIVE STUDIO SESSIONS:
Thurs. Oct 2, 3:30-6pm: Natural Pigments
Learn to make your own watercolor paints using pigments from rocks and plants foraged from the land. Join Artist-in-Residence Erika Johnson for a playful, experimental afternoon discovering the colors of the natural world. Thurs. Oct. 9, 3:30-6pm, Land Mandalas
Enjoy being outdoors and join us in creating mandalas-- circular, geometric designs-- using natural materials you find on the land. Stones, leaves, flowers, stems, nuts, pine cones...make your own design, or contribute to a large communal one. Free! Volunteer Sessions:
Come help us remove invasive plants, get some trees and shrubs in the ground, pick up trash, and make borders & beds out of branches and logs!

In other news, acres of Japanese knotweed are being treated as I type this, improvements to the building will be getting underway, and this fall we will be looking for folks who would like to spend some time making pieces out of natural materials to display on the grounds.
