Special Program: Of the Earth: Shabaka Interview
Born in the UK, raised in Barbados, multi-instrumentalist Shabaka is one of the leading forces of the contemporary wave of New British Jazz. After a hiatus from playing the saxophone to concentrate on his flute based artistry, Shabaka is back with a new, self-released album, Of The Earth. OoD host David Mittleman's interview with Shabaka is the highlight of a three-hour program devoted to his endlessly creative music.
