Founded in the Agouza neighborhood, across from Cairo on the west bank of the Nile River, The Dwarfs of East Agouza (Maurice Louca, Sam Shalabi, Alan Bishop) weave psychedelic tinged free form improv jams that astound musical cognecenti worldwide. They are set to achieve a higher profile with the October release of their next album, Sasquatch Landslide, on the Canadian record label Constellation. Host David Mittleman interviewed the group for an extensive review of their improvisation based music.
