Special Program: “We’re Trying to Save Your Ass!” Sun Ra / Nuclear War Mega Mix (1982-1988)
“Nuclear War” (1982) is one of Sun Ra’s most powerful compositions from the later part of his life. This fan favorite will be the focus of a special five-hour episode of OoD. The special will begin with cover versions by other artists, followed by three-hours (twenty-nine versions!) of rare, live, mostly unreleased performances of this classic track by Sun Ra and his Arkestra.
