Special Program: Hillbilly Ragas: Sir Richard Bishop Interview
Formed in the early 1980s in Arizona by the Bishop brothers, Richard and Alan, and drummer Charles Gocher, the Sun City Girls are one of the most important bands in underground American music history. Richard Bishop has continued the weird history of SCG through his own solo guitar albums on Drag City, the fifth of which, Hillbilly Ragas, was recently issued. Host David Mittleman interviewed Richard for a three-hour special devoted to his unique vision of American Primitive Music.
