Although not a musician himself, in 1967 Orenstein’s company Mass Art, Inc. released the first record of Minimalist Music—Terry Riley’s Reed Streams. Host David Mittleman interviewed Orenstein about his incredible life, making Mass Art and early Minimalism for this three-hour special.
