The first-ever appearance of Irene Trudell on the Give the Drummer Radio stream, with a heartfelt memorial show: The prolific saxophonist Lee Konitz recently headed into the hereafter at age 92. Konitz was noted for his love of spontaneous improvising, preferring to play in the moment with a wide variety of collaborators over the course of a 70-year+ career. Irene Trudel (with Peter Keepnews) pays respect to Lee Konitz, airing a small fraction of this sweet man's music.
