Special Program: SAVOY RECORDS—DEEP DIVE
Run for three decades by old-school music exec scumbag Herman Lubinsky, Savoy Records became one of the most important labels in black music. Known for its legendary be-bop and gospel catalog, Savoy began releasing wildly modernist jazz in the early 1960s, even hiring avant trumpeter/composer Bill Dixon to produce sessions for the label. This episode of Give the Drummer Some will take a deep dive into this pioneering heyday of Savoy.

CHA CHA HEELS with Solo Mon and ARB | Playlist & Chat
Welcome to the fictional town of Cha Cha Hills, where everyone has big hair and wears high heels. Even the babies.
Cha Cha Heels is a mixture of music, comedy and intrigue loosely based on the work of John Waters and other underground/cult filmmakers. This is fan fiction for radio: Expect skits, monologues and songs about crime, beauty, bad taste, and foot fetishes all lovingly scored like a jukebox musical. The music for each show is uniquely themed, and ranges from vintage Belgian Popcorn to modern Queer Trash Punk. Cha Cha Heels is a midnight movie crossed with an after party, so put on your favorite pair of heels and meet us on the corner of Filth & Glamour every Friday night on the Drummer Stream! Presented in RadiOdorama®.
