Tonight in the Explorers Room we'll be spending an adventuresome and lovely evening with one of my very favorite composers in the world, the one and only Sven Libaek. A Norwegian by birth and Australian by choice, Libaek is a towering figure of Australia's recording industry and a highly idiosyncratic composer with a unique and instantly recognizable sound. This is the music of underwater film, contemplative shots of birds in flight, washed-out technicolor blues, search and discovery, natural wonder – documentaries, and dreams of documentaries. Tune in and walkabout with your fellow explorers through vistas of warm searching sound.
