DPP 2025 Recap; 2026 Outlook
Near the end of every year, I find myself thinking about how little that I accomplished. That’s why I started making a list of everything that I did. I always end up feeling more proud of myself. So as its time to make plans for the new year, start by reminding yourself of what you pulled off in the last one.
2025
I put out 52 substack posts which included interviews, gameable content, and design theory. A few crowdfunding efforts were put out from 2024 and The Conquest of Chaos was crowdfunded and sent out to backers. I’m making the PDF and physical copies available today! Copies of the print run will also soon be available through Goodman Games and as-addons in the crowdfunding The 10th Doomstar. Exalted Funeral will possibly carry TCOC, but waiting to hear back on the inquiry email.
An issue with the original printer and their subsequent response to the issue meant that I had to throw away the first print run and work with a new printer. That ate up all my potential profits for 2025. That set a low bar for 2026 to beat (but ain’t that just the truth in general).

2026
Print issues/delays from The Conquest of Chaos caused a lot of things to get pushed back and potential profits to disappear. That said, I used the time to get ready for a lot of other projects. I did create a few some monsters that will be in Dungeon Denizens 2 and MCC#15, plus one more thing that I can’t spill the beans on just yet. But keep a look out for my name in their 2026 releases!
As far as conventions appearance go, I currently plan to be at Dungeon Con 2, NTRPGCon, and Long Con X.
This is crowdfunding later this month! I partnered with Julian Bernick to have him write the first level 10 adventure for DCC. He first ran this about a decade ago at Gen Con, but we really polished and playtested over the past year! All the writing, editing, and layout is done. Just need 1 more interior illustration of the different pre-gen characters.
The writing, editing, and layout on this is all done. The layout of the core book is about 90% complete, but it’ll need a lot of interior art. I’ll get a few commissions started, but the level of success when crowdfunding will determine exactly how much original art can be put into the book. I’ve got a few stretch goals figured out for slightly increasing the page count and will also have a few zines that’ll provide extra adventures and maybe other content. I plan to include a license that will encourage other folks to create AA RPG adventures. So download the Quickstart Rules and get imagining!
This will crowdfund along with Castle Whiterock! Writing is about 2/3s done. That said, it will probably fulfill far sooner than Castle Whiterock actually will. It’ll use some of the Dungeon Dwelling Creatures rules and provide ways to turn a rather combat heavy megadungeon into one where you have more roleplay opportunities via the PCs being turned into monsters that fit right into the megadungeon.
It crowdfunded last year and the writing is about 95% complete (just a few stretch goal pieces). I’m doing the editing and layout. Lotta work to do!
A few zines
We’ll see if there’s actually time in the year to do this. I’ve got zines written in the style of Elfland: Beyond The Fields We Know, but one for halflings and another for dwarves. Those will probably be their own crowdfunding effort and its very possible that they are actually a ZineMonth 2027 project. I’ve also got an Xcrawl level-0/1 adventure written that may get thrown into the crowdfunding for the 10th Doomstar. Writing and editing are complete on that one, but that’ll only happen if I can get the art together early enough.
