DPP 2024 Recap; 2025 Outlook
What a year it was. What a year it will be.
Near the end of every year, I find myself thinking about how little that I accomplished. That’s why I started making a list of everything that I did. I always end up feeling more proud of myself. So as its time to make plans for the new year, start by reminding yourself of what you pulled off in the last one.
2024
I had a 53 posts here on Substack this year! That’s a whole lot. Then there’s the publishing! I published about 30k words (2 works) of other people's writing, about 40k words (6 works) of my own, and about 8k~ (3 works) were included other people's publications. Plus the occasional editing and layout work! Plus actually running and playing games!

2025
I am planning to publish less individual things, but they will be bigger things. These are all already written, with only minor adjustments in writing at this time. Of course, a lot more goes into publishing than just writing. I've also got more writing pieces that are getting published in other people's publications. Some of those are fully written, and other pieces are in the works.
The Conquest of Chaos
Editing and playtesting is done! A chaos campaign just concluded and it was a hit! I'm currently working on book layout and making the Backerkit page look pretty. Lots of art has been turned in and cartography has been commissioned. Plus, planning out awesome stretch goals that can be accomplished in a timely manner. I'm hoping this one is a huge hit! I started writing the first of these adventure back on September 19th of 2020! So excited to see this finally exist out in the world!
The 10th Comet of Chaos (working title)
More playtests need to occur before it can be deemed "fully written"! But I've commissioned cover art by Ben Marra. Julian is cooking up something amazing. We're planning on this being perfect for a 4-hour one-shot session, complete with custom level 10 pre-gens.
Dungeon Denizens
I got one monster in here (a Kickstarter backer exclusive). And for no particular reason I feel really excited about Dungeon Denizens 2! I bet it has lots of excellent people involved.
Academia Arcana
My DCC-based wizard school game is completely written and edited. I've spent some time away from this one and need to start running some new adventures that I've thought up. Plus, all the other stuff to get ready for publishing. Go check out the beta rules(which are pre-editing revisions). I'm cooking up more adventures of my own and intend to commission other writers to create their own adventures too. I really want this to be a game that has years and years of life to it.
Dungeon Dwelling Creatures
This should crowdfund around the beginning of June. I've done writing, editing, and layout on the quick start and plan to stick around cause this game is just a ton of fun. I’ve even working on a special class: the Zombie Overlord! I love how unique all the existing classes are, but getting to play as the bad guy just makes you think of all the awesome baddies out there and you get inspired to create your very own!
