Autumn updates from Digital Commons (with exciting new job!)
Hi everyone,
The nights are closing in and there’s a chill in the air. We’ve been really busy at DCC, and (as always), not been great at communicating about it. But here are two exciting updates to share with you all:
Data for Housing Justice, phase 2
You may remember we did this fascinating deep dive into the data needs of housing justice activists last year. We’re really pleased to have got funding for a second phase of this work, in partnership with our founders Shared Assets. We are also working with Shared Assets exploring the data needs of community activists looking to take on community assets - read more about that here.
They are currently recruiting for a 4-day a week Data for Social Justice Organiser who will lead this next phase of the work. It’s £31k for a 4 day week, remote and flexible, working with a great team. Deadline is 10am on 19th November: find out more and APPLY! here.
The Cooperative World Map
Did you know that 2025 is the International Year of Cooperatives? Our tech team has been working super hard with our partners at DotCooperation to create the largest map of cooperatives in the world in time for next year. We’ll be launching it at the Global Cooperative Conference in India in a couple of week’s time, and look forward to being able to share it with you! In the meantime, find out a lot more about it here.
Hope you’re keeping warm,
all the best
