All the latest news from Digital Commons Coop!
Hello everyone and welcome to the latest Digital Commons Cooperative newsletter!
There's been lots going on inside DCC in the past couple of months:
Housing data project
Our exploration into the digital tools that the housing movement might need has kicked off with a super useful working group session. We will soon be organising a series of workshops with people working across the England and Wales on housing justice issues - if you want to get involved or find out more then get in touch via this form.
New LandExplorer release!
The team have been working hard on polishing up LandExplorer behind the scenes. The latest release includes new Collaborative Mapping Features: you can now add your own data layers. Get in touch to create your layers and assign group members. Then you and your team can populate these new layers using the draw tools. You can also draw and save maps, lines and polygons to your own bespoke map layers.
We've also released lots of small bug fixes and made some UX improvements so LandExplorer is easier to use - let us know what you think!
Connecting more cooperatives
Our MykoMaps tool supports Co-operatives Connect, our online platform that helps the cooperative movement connect, communicate and collaborate. We already partner with DotCooperation and the ICA to provide directories and maps of their members, and we're really excited to say that this work will be expanding in 2023 to include more coops in more countries - watch this space for more!
The next few months promise to be busy but exciting - stay in touch (maybe by following us on twitter?) and we'll let you know how things emerge! We are also on twitter if that's more your stfollow us on :)
all the best
