Brunswick County
The Brunswick County Commissioner’s meet at 6:00 p.m. - in less than two hours. See https://www.facebook.com/share/1bvEfQCtgn/
We have just learned that Flock will be on the Agenda and that the Sheriff has been asked to appear.
We encourage as many people as possible to go and speak during the public comment period about any concerns you may have on the Flock Cameras.
See https://deflockilm.org/flock-cameras-brunswick-county/ for more information on Brunswick County use of Flock.
It appears that Commissioner Sykes supports getting rid of the Flock Cameras and that Commissioner Randy Thompson signed the contract over two years ago but says he is waiting on information from the Sheriff. Two dates, one contradiction.
January 18, 2024 — Randy Thompson, then Chairman of the Brunswick County Board of Commissioners, signed the contract that put Flock surveillance cameras on the county's roads.

September 20, 2026 — He says he's still waiting on data from the Sheriff to decide his position on those same cameras.
You'd think he would have studied it before he signed it. Brunswick County residents deserve better — and they deserve to have their constitutional rights protected.
If you are a Brunswick resident, please go speak!
