Defense Valley take
€83m across nine deals — a quiet fortnight on paper. But look at what the money actually bought: counter-drone, in every flavour. Lasers (Inleap), RF and electronic warfare (Auron — and STARK buying Raydiant RF outright), acoustic and hard-kill interception (Skylance, Defence.Hub). Five of the nine point at the same problem: stopping cheap drones cheaply. That is not a coincidence — it is Europe finally paying for the layer it ignored while everyone chased shiny autonomous platforms. The one big cheque went to sovereign launch (HyImpulse, €50M+). Small numbers, sharp signal: if you are building counter-UAS, this is your moment — the primes have started acquiring, not just piloting.
