The news I’ve been sitting on for months!
That’s right: Jackson Donne isn’t dead… yet.
If you remember, right around when this newsletter started, my former publisher went out of business and I ended up with the rights to my book back. My susperstar agent, Dara Hyde, looked at this news as an opportunity more than a roadblock and took the series to a couple of publishers. Open Road Media snapped the books up—wanting to repackage the series with new covers, backcover copy and introduce it to a new audience.
I was all for it, but here’s a little secret, I also had an idea for a brand new Jackson Donne novel. And because I like all of you and because this is my newsletter, I’m going to give you a sneak peak at SET ON BLOOD. Here is the first line of the first chapter to the final Jackson Donne novel.
“Jackson Donne is dead. Murdered. And I want you to find out who killed him.” Jeanne Baker leaned back on the barstool like the words exited her mouth as a strong wind.
So, there you have it. A new Jackson Donne adventure, with a twist… I hope that’s whet your appetite for the fall of 2026.
But, before that happens, you have to catch up on the series. The reissues will be available in late April and you can pre-order them here!

Publishing is really crazy. I’ve been sitting on this news quietly since June. The wheels of the industry move slowly, but the adrenaline rush when everything finally pops is so much fun. I hope you’re as excited for these books as I am.
I’ve poured a lot of blood, sweat and tears into these books, but I also know that doesn’t matter to the reader. What matters is, they are good stories. Lots of twists, lots of darkness. I hope you can’t put them down.
