Jackson Donne is back in Print... TODAY

When the first Jackson Donne novel debuted, I had a flip phone. It was two months before the release of the Kindle e-reader. It was 3 months after the first smartphone appeared. He’s been through a lot.
Since that September day, the series has seen 3 editors (sort of, two are the same at different places), 2 publishers, and six books. He was dropped from Random House and then, just a year ago, Polis Books went out of business.
Donne has gotten knocked down a lot. But, like any good hero, he always gets back up.
So, today, a year after Polis went out of business, Donne is back with Matt Herrick. The first five books are back in print and I urge you to pick up a copy and re-read them.
The latest, and final book in the series, SET ON BLOOD will be out in just over a year. And you should read these to get yourself back in the swing of things.
So, 17 years, 7 months after 4 days after he debuted, I give you: Jackson Donne… still alive—for now.
The books:
When One Man Dies: When Jackson Donne’s drinking buddy is killed in a suspicious hit and run, he has no choice but to investigate. Soon, he’ll cross paths with his ex-partner Bill Martin and nothing will be the same.
The Evil That Men Do: The second Donne novel: Donne’s mother is dying alzheimne’s and she talking about her own father and the time he found a body in a river. Donne’s sister asks him to look into it and Donne discovers a secret about his past that might just get him killed.
Not Even Past: Donne is out of the PI business and has put his life together. He’s even engaged. But when he’s given a link that leads to a video showing his dead ex-fiancée alive, his world is turned upside down. This is a key one for SET ON BLOOD.
An Empty Hell: Featuring the debut of PI Matt Herrick, Donne is in hiding. When his employer, Mario, disappears, Donne finds out there is more to him that meets the eye. And it puts him in the crosshairs of some very bad people. My favorite book of the series. This was the most fun to write.
Blind to Sin: Jackson Donne is in prison, but when he’s busted out by a bunch of thieves who want to rob the Federal Reserve, he finds himself in over his head and seeing no way out but death.

There you have it, ladies and gentlemen, the Jackson Donne series is back. I hope you’ll read them if you never have before and re-read them now, in a new light if they’re old favorites.
