Spotify Still Falls Short With Regards to Joe Rogan

When Spotify CEO Daniel Ek sent out an email to staff to apologize for what’s going on with Joe Rogan, he fell short of doing what was right. The right thing to do would have been removing Rogan from the platform.

Ek pledged to invest $100 million in marginalized communities. Such communities should not have to be the consolation prize for having to deal with Joe Rogan. If you want to amplify their voices, that’s fine but it should not have to come at the expense of failing to take care of Rogan like they should.

When it comes to Rogan, one paragraph in Ek’s email states:
