SATM comes to Substack
I’m gonna keep this brief. I’m not really going to post much free content here since that’s what Solzy at the Movies is for. However, I will be offering paid subscribers additional thoughts about movies, television, and Hollywood in general for the small monthly fee of $5 or yearly fee of $60. I’m also giving subscribers the opportunity to become a founding member, too. Founding members will receive select non-embargoed content offered a few days before they run on Solzy at the Movies. This would include interviews and such.
PUA benefits expired at the start of September and the pandemic is hurting freelance budgets all over. I figure Substack makes for a better way to monetize my thoughts. It's much better than having to shill out my PayPal or utilize GoFundMe in order to attend film festivals. This is where Substack is key. By charging people to read my thoughts on movies, TV, and Hollywood in general, it'll mean having a regular monthly income. An income that is essential when it comes to traveling to the major film festivals or even smaller ones, too. This way, I can keep introducing readers to films that might never have heard of.
I don’t anticipate a day when I’ll be charging people to read reviews. I could potentially offer some reviews early to founding members—after the embargo and before they run on Solzy at the Movies.
