It's a Raiders kind of night

Tribeca 2022 may be coming to an end on the ground in New York but I spent my Sunday evening watching Raiders of the Lost Ark.

The Steven Spielberg film still holds up just over 41 years after its theatrical release. Plus, you can never go wrong with Harrison Ford or John Williams. And with making the decision to watch Raiders, I’m basically committing to rewatching all of the movies in the franchise. Two on Sunday night and another two on Monday. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is not one of my favorites. I honestly gave thought to just skipping right over the prequel but ended up being a completist and watching it.

The problems with Temple of Doom go back to the state of George Lucas and Steven Spielberg’s life when the script was being written. Both were undergoing a divorce and that’s why the film is the darkest of them all.
