It's A Good Year For Documentaries

Bill Russell: Legend is the latest in a string of celebrity-focused documentaries to premiere this year. It’s also one of my favorite documentaries of the year.

I’m a Boston Celtics fan so of course, the film piqued my interest as soon as I found out about it. I grew up on Kentucky basketball and adopted the Boston Celtics as my NBA team when then-coach Rick Pitino left Lexington for Boston in 1997. I root for the former Cats to do well but it always hurts whenever one of them joins the Los Angeles Lakers. Anyway, it should come as no surprise when I mention that I didn’t have a dry eye by the time I finished the film.
