Denver Was A Necessary Distraction
I traveled to Denver this past week for reasons that will be written about soon on Dugout Dirt but it kept me from refreshing news updates every five minutes. When I booked my trip in August, I wasn’t expecting to be in a very different mood come October 10. If my lodging hadn’t been non-refundable, it’s likely that I might have cancelled it altogether.
The main purpose for Denver was to do the Coors Field tour. I’ll be writing about that soon but Progressive Field will be the next tour that I write about. Before hitting up the stadium, I toured the Colorado State Capitol. It was my second such tour in over a month. After going to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, I made my way to Larimer Square and then walked over to the Tattered Cover Bookstore at McGregor Square. I found out within the past two weeks that there would be a book signing for MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios. I brought my review copy on the trip and carried it around with me all day in order to get it signed. It’s on my list to read soon.
