Writing Progress Update 1
Hello! This is just a quick email to update you on my writing progress. I'm the sort of writer who doesn't work on a single project at a time. I usually have several on the go at once. I've recently been working on three main projects:
No Going Back: My Time, the sequel to No Going Back
A collection of rants about Christmas
A collection of short horror stories
I've so far written a few chapters of No Going Back: My Time. Without giving too much away, I'm finding it both interesting and exciting to be writing about Brian enacting his plan and seeing where it takes him. The novel will be similar in length, structure and tone to the first one, but it will have slightly more 'action' - if you can call it that - as Brian is actively trying to make a success of his plan. I can't say too much more without giving things away. What I will say is that it's going to have a definitive ending - there's not going to be a third instalment.
As for the Christmas-themed e-book, this is going to be a short collection of rants about the big day. It's basically me revealing my true thoughts and opinions, holding nothing back and making Scrooge proud!
Then there's the short horror stories e-book. I've already released one horror e-book, Terror In Brief: 200 Two-Sentence Horror Stories, which, as you can tell, is made up of some very short stories, each just two sentences long. For this newer e-book, I'm writing horror stories that are a bit longer: they're thousands of words long instead of just two sentences. I've already written most of them and am pleased with what I've produced so far. The stories cover a range of themes and concepts, so the collection is quite varied overall. Have a read when it comes out and you'll come across a strange something in the woods, a disturbed painter, a being with unsavoury tastes and more...
That's just a brief summary of where I am right now with my writing. Once I've got the two shorter projects done, I'll be focusing more on No Going Back: My Time, while also making a start on some other projects.
