New E-Books: Sorrow in Brief and Terror in Brief: Volume VII
I’m excited to announce that two new e-books of mine are available to download: Sorrow in Brief and Terror in Brief: Volume VII.
Sorrow in Brief
This is a collection of 200 two-sentence sadness stories. Believe me, writing this e-book was a whole lot of fun! In all seriousness, I actually enjoyed putting it together and thinking of dire situations to put people in.

All the stories in this e-book are about things that make people upset, induce tears and put people in the worst moods. They focus on things like relationships ending, people experiencing terrible luck and loved ones dying. They’re arranged into three categories:
– ‘Connections Ending’. Stories about friends drifting apart, families falling out and people losing close ones over time.
– ‘Unlucky in Life’. These stories look at people who aren’t at all fortunate and go through all manner of distressing experiences.
– ‘Death and Dying’. This category’s stories are all about people leaving this world or knowing their days are numbered.
Sorrow in Brief is certainly an uplifting, positive e-book!
If you’re in the mood for some bleak, depressing stories that are over in a flash, you’ll find links to download Sorrow in Brief here.
Terror in Brief: Volume VII
A seventh (!) collection of 200 two-sentence horror stories. I can’t get enough of writing these very short tales of terror. It’s almost like an addiction of sorts.

Like the other six instalments in the series, Terror in Brief: Volume VII contains extremely short stories about pretty much anything related to horror. They’re arranged into the following categories:
– ‘The Psychotic and Brutal’. Humans who commit shocking, atrocious acts and cause harm to others are the focus here.
– ‘Disgusting People Who Stamp Out Life’. This category includes stories that focus on ruthless and careless killers.
– ‘Injurious Inhabitants of This World and Others’. These stories focus on wicked things that are alive but not human.
– ‘When Things Go Horribly Wrong’. Abnormal occurrences that terrify and injure are what this category homes in on.
If you fancy reading some of the shortest horror stories around, you can download Terror in Brief: Volume VII here.
What’s Next?
Dreadful Drabbles: Volume II, a second collection of sixty-six 100-word horror stories, is right around the corner. The e-book is all done and dusted, as they say, and will be out very soon. Download the first Dreadful Drabbles e-book if you haven’t already done so.
After Dreadful Drabbles: Volume II, I’ll be publishing Flashes of Fright: Volume V. This will be my fifth collection of 1,000-word horror stories. I’ve written 10 of them and am trying to gather ideas for the remaining three. Flashes of Fright: Volume V will most likely be out this month or next. If you haven’t read any 1,000-word horror stories, start by downloading the first Flashes of Fright e-book.
I might write another Sorrow in Brief e-book at some point, as I actually liked writing upsetting stories about people experiencing awful things. It’s not a priority, but something I might work on once in a while.
As for the Terror in Brief series, I’m currently halfway through the eighth instalment. Not sure when it’s going to come out, but it will be sometime this year. I can’t say whether there’ll be a ninth instalment. I’m starting to feel drained of ideas for two-sentence horror stories!
