New E-Book, Free E-Books and Blog Posts

Great news! I’ve recently released a new e-book: Flashes of Fright: Volume II. It contains thirteen 1,000-word horror stories and is the follow-up to Flashes of Fright. You can read the stories in these e-books in any order, though the final story in Flashes of Fright: Volume II is a sequel to the final story in Flashes of Fright, so it’s probably best to download Flashes of Fright first if you haven’t already.

I enjoyed writing more 1,000-word horror stories and can safely there will be many more Flashes of Fright e-books to come. My personal favourite in the new, second volume is ‘Terence’s Number’, which is about a sociopath who goes on a date. Another one I really like is ‘Keep Them Clean’, which features an enraged Tooth Fairy. There’s also ‘The Ticket to Reality’, which is a interesting one because the horror element comes right at the end.

Free E-Books

Speaking of which, Flashes of Fright is currently free to download along with four other e-books of mine. Here are the links:

  • Dog Flight - Seven short horror stories.

  • Flashes of Fright - Thirteen 1,000-word horror stories.

  • Micro Scares - 200 one-sentence horror stories.

  • Not So Spooky - Rants about Halloween.

  • Terror in Brief - 200 two-sentence horror stories.

These will be free until Saturday 23rd November.

Blog Posts

I’ve also written a few blog posts recently. Some of them are about my e-books specifically and others are about writing in general. Here are a few examples:

  • Are Two-Sentence Horror Stories Legitimate?

  • DEI in Writing: Not for Me!

  • Trigger Warning: This Post Is About Trigger Warnings

You can find these and more by checking out my blog on my website or heading over to Medium.

What’s Next?

Flashes of Fright: Volume III is nearing completion. I’ve written 11/13 stories and will let you know when it’s done.

I’m also working on Sorrow in Brief, which is a collection of 200 two-sentence sadness stories, i.e. people experiencing the depressing, unfortunate and miserable side of life. A very jolly read if you ask me!
