Free E-Book: No Going Back
Just a quick email to say my novel No Going Back is currently free to download. If you haven’t read it yet, now’s your chance to get a copy for no cost at all and see what you make of it. The novel will be free until 31 May.
I would describe No Going Back as a slow-paced psychological suspense novel. It’s about a novelist, Brian, who is paranoid about becoming famous. He has reason to be well known because his novels have been very successful, though he’s always done whatever he can to avoid the slightest amount of fame coming his way.
No Going Back covers a point in Brian’s life when things start falling apart for him. A single photo comes about and threatens everything he’s built up. What will happen and how will Brian react? You’ll have to read No Going Back to find out.
The novel is told from Brian’s first-person perspective. As well as describing what he experiences, he offers a few rants here and there about things to do with modern society and celebrity culture. He also shares three dreams (each of them is a full chapter!) that give an insight into how he perceives the world and the way celebrities are treated.
Some might say Brian is an anti-hero because of the way he goes against society and what he does later on in the novel. I’m pleased with the way I’ve written him. In many ways, he’s an exaggerated version of me!
