February 2023 Newsletter
I can’t believe it’s February already. Time flies when you’re having fun. It seems to fly faster when you’re not having much fun! Anyway, here’s February’s newsletter.
Book of the Month – February 2023
My Book of the Month for February 2023 is Love in Brief, which is free to download all month. Love in Brief is a short e-book containing 200 romance stories, each of which is just two sentences long. The stories are arranged into three sections: Single and Dating, Relationships Thriving and Relationships Failing.
If you haven’t yet read Love in Brief, now’s your chance to do so for free. Please feel free to leave a rating and review if you enjoy what you read. If you don’t like the e-book, feedback isn’t necessary! Here are the links to download it:
Amazon, Apple Books, Barnes and Noble, Google Play, Kobo
Two-sentence stories may seem weird, but they can be fun to read. I enjoyed coming up with some romance-themed ones, even though romance isn’t something I’m particularly keen to write about. If you like these really short stories, check out Terror in Brief. It’s the same format as Love in Brief, but all the stories are themed to horror.
February Promotion
As well as making Love in Brief free all month, there will be a promotion where two of my e-books will be discounted.
Love Isn’t Always in the Air. Download Sweet and Sour, a collection of poems about love and relationships, free from 11-17 February. Not So Loving, which I’ll be publishing in the next few days, will also be free during this time.
Newest Blog Post
Last month I released my first blog post: 'Why I Wrote Viral'. It looks at why I wrote the e-book and talks about the writing process. Check it out here.
An Idea for Another Novel
Don’t you just love it when an idea comes to you and it dominates your thoughts? Recently, that happened to me. In November, I watched a certain show on Netflix. Fast forward two months and this show was still on my mind. So much so that it gave me the idea for a new novel: Sim5. It’s still in its early days; it’s still just ideas in my mind at the minute. Once I’ve worked on My Time more, I’m going to start writing Sim5.
As the name implies, Sim5 is about a simulation. Actually, it’s about five of them. Well, four, truth be told. You’ll find out more soon enough.
By the way, I can't reveal what show inspired Sim5 without spoiling it.
This Month I Will…
Publish Not So Loving. The e-book should be out in a few days’ time. It’s the third instalment in the Rants About Special Days series. The first two are Not So Festive and Not So Spooky. In Not So Loving, I rant and complain about Valentine’s Day.
Write Frogs and Ghosts, a collection of rants about online dating. Though it’s similar to the Rants About Special Days e-books, it’s a standalone e-book.
Continue writing short Christmas-themed horror stories. The e-book, Presents for Raymond, should be out by March.
Continue writing My Time, the sequel to No Going Back.
Continue gathering ideas for Sim5.
Thanks for Reading!
I lied. This newsletter is actually shorter than last month’s. You still deserve a medal for making it this far. You’re not getting one, but you deserve one nonetheless.
