evanesce
to disappear gradually; vanish; fade away
Thank you for spending some time with me and this little project. It gave me a space to reconnect with my creative impulses, and I hope it encouraged a sense of curiosity and discovery in you as well.
Although I’ve gotten a lot of joy out of putting together this newsletter each week, this will be the final post. This experience truly rekindled my passion for stories, so much so that I’m hoping to focus on crafting my own as we descend into an increasingly challenging era.
Expression will be both a weapon and a salve in the years to come. Fiction can hold many things, including the sort of truths that are otherwise restricted. Unsavory forces have well-oiled machines working tirelessly to shape narratives around us. As their power over our lives increases, the reality presented to us will be anything but honest.
I’ll still be around on Twitter and BlueSky under the same handle, and will continue to share interesting things I stumble across. In that spirit, as a final send-off, I thought I’d link to a few different items I had saved.
Just a little something to help keep your next few cups of coffee warm.
