Pleas Into The Void
Essence and humanity - vacuumed
So much time enmeshed, erased
False interaction, justified by
False engagement. Hollow hearts
Empty arrows pointing to nowhere
A capital scream of joy, of pain
Misery shared and tears shed
Words flow from captive hearts
And wounded souls
Congregations of the destitute
And yet a spark, a hope
Walls forged around tender souls
Another way, another life - available
To all who need, who weep, who mourn
Communal time in ethereal space
But again the ethereal, intangible
Is deceptive, incongruous
Life requires living in the open
Freedom cannot be found
Behind fortress walls
Renew yourself, nourishing souls
And leave your sanctuaries
Venture forth, bring warmth
To the desolate, frigid masses
Build your walls around them too
