Massive Smashwords Sale and it's Indie Ink Awards Voting Season!

December is always a busy busy season, and this year is no different. I’ll try and keep this short and to the point for everyone!

The Indie Ink Awards voting begins today. These awards honour self-published and small press books through a cool variety of categories, and they’ve taken steps to have more varied winners this year! I’m really excited for their future.
This year, I received a stunning number of nominations. I am very very honoured by them, and you can see the full list on social media (Bsky | Instagram).
Finalists for every category are determined by the ten most voted. I would like to focus votes on a smaller number of book and categories where I think my work shines most, and I’ve discussed the Nerezia covers (which have almost all been nominated) with Eva, my cover artist, and we picked a favourite contender!

Last year, some categories were split by only a few votes. Your vote really does matter! So go forth. Vote for me, vote for other indies you loved, especially smaller, talented folks. As our world becomes increasingly weighted by algorithms and AI slop, these events become more and more important.

As with every year, Smashwords is holding its big End of Year sale! Indie authors discount their books anywhere between 25% to completly free. It has a lot on offer, but Kila Greene has put together a great list of some of the books if you wanted to get started!
As for mine, this marks the first time Painted Flock is discounted (here and on itchio, starting on the 18th), among other things. Image below for the full list!

That’s all for me right now! You might get a little email before the end of the year? But if not, joyous holidays to all, and I hope the new year brings good things to you all.
