Four Beautiful Anthologies With My Name In Them

I love when these newsletter have a theme! Easier to title, for sure. Anthologies are, without a doubt, the biggest chunk of my year, so it’s no surprise that I’d have four anthology-related news at the same time. Let’s tackle it!

Common Bonds 2 is now available for preorders! If you missed the Kickstarter, you can buy it at most retailers and have it drop on March 26, 2026. I say most because the ebooks will not be available on Amazon, and we’d much rather you get your paperbacks elsewhere if possible.
Your other option, if you’re a more patient type, is to grab it as part of Common Bonds 3 Kickstarter, and put that money directly in the “make another one pot”. More on that just below!!
We built our Common Bonds 3 teaser page early! For this campaign, we will be moving to BackerKit. To make a long story short, it aligns much better with our ethics than Kickstarter (especially regarding genAI) and it allows for group collection, where you can easily lift one another up! We’ll be participating in the summer edition of the Book Bazaar with really cool creators, and I can’t wait to give you more details about those plans.
For now, the best thing you can do is follow the project (it’ll ask your email!), so that you can get the more detailed updates as they go live. This will include ToC and cover reveal!
Now, for anthologies I have a story in! Indie Bites, a quaterly fantasy anthology, has built a Best Of collection to celebrate its fifth anniversary. It’s an absolutely gorgeous hardcover book with a beautiful cover and end paper, and I happen to have a story in it, Count Tiberius the Third. This is the one with Nevian (a grumpy teenager) tries to study magic but is thwarted by a giant magical cat.
They funded on Friday, which is incredibly exciting! It also means that from now on, any extra money goes directly to the authors featured within. This is a one-time print, so don’t miss out if you want all that indie fantasy goodness.
Last but not least, Being Aro has started to reach reviewers! I’ve had my own copy and read it over Aro Week, and it’s quite a solid anthology. Which clearly others agree with, because we’ve had starred review from Publisher’s Weekly (who actually mentions me directly!!) and Booklist (link to Page Street YA’s instagram).
These are not places indie authors have access to (usually because they’re expensive) so it’s both weird and thrilling to have that experience! I’m very proud of my weird Narcissus x Knights of Sidona x Pacific Rim story, and it’s cool to see it go places.
This releases on May 26, so go preorder if you want your copy!

And our usual Patreon round up is back! I truly appreciate all of you chipping in to this pot. Even a small steady income makes a big difference <3
