Hextra Life Charity Stream This Weekend!

Hey friends! Welcome to The Disgrace Dispatch.

This isn't quite my first newsletter, since I write the Moonshot Podcast Network newsletter, but this is the first one I've done for myself! It's a big day!

Let's get to the important stuff right away, in case you don't have all day to read this missive:

UPCOMING EVENTS:

-10/18/22 (That's tonight!): Fight For Your Right To (Mario) Party stream, 8pm EST
-10/22-23/22 (That's this weekend!): Moonshot Presents Hextra Life, a 24 hour charity stream raising money for Beaumont Children's Hospital.

Tonight, at 8pm EST, on the Moonshot Twitch channel, I'll be hosting a stream called Fight For Your Right To (Mario) Party, where I'm making 5 of my fellow Moonshot hosts compete in the game Fall Guys to figure out which 3 of them will challenge me for my Mario Party Championship at our Extra Life charity stream this weekend.

I made it myself, which is why if you look closely you can see Too Much Gorilla Glue coming out on the right side of the plumber man's head.

But making it even harder for them will be 5 minions handpicked by me, whose sole goal will be to disrupt the game for the Moonshot players. As I said in today's Moonshot newsletter, some of them are from my very own Mario Party past. People who understand what it's like to grit your teeth and survive 50 Turn Mario Parties night after night, with only cheesy poofs from Walmart and my mom's baked goods to sustain you. I can't wait to see what happens when these two groups collide.

I did a promo for it that was then edited into this fun little video by fellow Moonshot pal Jay, if you wanna get into the spirit before tonight.

Then THIS WEEKEND is Hextra Life, our special spooky October edition of our yearly 24 hour Extra Life stream! We'll be streaming all weekend raising money for Beaumont Children's Hospital, since the most important Moonshot people are Michiganders.

Here's the schedule for this year's event so you can plan to be there for whichever segments you wanna catch. It's like a music festival without all the things that suck.

I'm planning to be on You Suck At Parking, Smack Talk Showdown, The Jory Zone, Return of the Trivia Wizard, Beerio Kart, and Dead by Daylight on Saturday, and Mario Party and GOD WILLING, Family Feud. I really hope we get there because I want to see Riley do their best Steve Harvey.

But whether you watch the stream or not, you can donate right here at any time! Riley is trying to see if we can raise $500 before we even start on Saturday, and I would love to see it.

This will be my sixth year doing Extra Life, it's always so much fun and it's a great, accessible way for all of us to do some good. Every year, I've been blown away by how much we raised, and I'm hoping this year will be no different. Please donate, share, or both and help us smash our goals this weekend!

That's it for this first time at bat! I have a TON of updates about my other creative work, but I don't wanna overwhelm you all, so let's just focus on this stuff for now :)

In the future, I'll be talking about the things I'm writing, letting you know when they come out, and maybe writing a little about things going on in the personal life (Kat and I took engagement photos this past weekend! It was so much fun!) and things I'm reading or watching. I really want to write up a thing about how much I've been enjoying the k-pop reality competition shows Kingdom and Queendom and how they compare to each other and to American reality TV, because it fascinates me.

Thanks a bunch for subscribing and reading, and I hope to see you one way or another for (H)Extra Life!
