Now that the Memorial Day weekend is over, we are kicking off our summer series of in-person (and virtual) Doctor Who meetups! Whether you live in the Chicago area or are looking for a great virtual gathering, you’re welcome to join us!
We kick things off with our annual Cosplay Congregation at Blue Box Cafe in Elgin on Saturday, May 30th, from 12:00 to 4:00 pm. Just a few minutes from both the PACE bus lines and the Metra train, this venue has been kind to us over the years, and we love to show our gratitude. Join us for food, conversation, and great times. We continue our 20 Years of Tennant retrospective screening series on Tuesday, June 9th, at 7:00 pm CST. Join us for a virtual screening of The Girl in the Fireplace, written by Steven Moffat. RSVP for Zoom information via Facebook or Meetup.
There’s nothing like pizza in Rogers Park during the summer, and our June in-person gathering delivers! (Sorry about the pun) Join us at Blaze Pizza in Rogers Park on June 20th at 12:00 pm! If you’re worried about missing out on our in-person gatherings, don’t worry. We’re holding a Virtual Pop-Up Social on Sunday, June 28th at 7:00 pm CST! RSVP for the Zoom link via Meetup and Facebook!
Although we’re taking some time off in July, that doesn’t mean we’re not planning a get-together. Our annual ice cream social at Eiffel Waffle in Lincoln Park happens on Sunday, July 19th at 1:30 pm.
